So let’s start of by talking about the Boreal Shields. The Boreal shields are the largest Eco zone in Canada. It stretches from Newfoundland to Alberta which is about 3 800 kilometers. The Boreal Shield lies south of the Taiga shield. It includes parts of six provinces. Those are the following: parts of Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. It encircles almost 20% of Canada’s land mass and 10% of its fresh water.
Climate
The climate in the Boreal shield isn't bad at all. Summers average temperatures is about thirteen degrees Celsius. In winters, the average temperature is about -1.5 degrees Celsius. The mountain blocks most of the precipitation . Rain can exceed 4000 mm a year in the north.

Some of the land forms of the boreal shields are rocky hills and morainal debris, Canadian shield rock which includes numerous and large extensive forests, Glacial striation which are glacial grooves or gouges, hen- bog complex, Quartz vien which are fractures and fissures surrounding the rock.

Some of the major cities in the boreal shields are ones you may know such as Thunder Bay. It's located in the province of Ontario with a area of 447.5 square kilometers Something special in thunder bay is Terry Fox ran along Thunder Bay. Theres a statue situated in Thunder Bay. It's a nine foot bronze statue. You might wanna see it!
Another major city in the Boreal shields is St. Johns. It's located in the province of Newfoundland with a area of 446 square kilometers. Something you should go see there is the Cabot tower. With a height of fifteen meters and a huge history behind it, it's looks are very antique. The Cabot tower is located in the highest point of signal hill and the construction started in 1898. It was built to show respect to the 400th anniversary of Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee.
Last but not least, the last major city in Boreal shield that you would know is Sault St. Marie. It is located in the province of Ontario and an area of 715 square kilometers. You should totally walk on the Sault St. Marie international bridge. Below the bridge runs a river called St.Mary's river. The bridge is 4 506 meters tall and 38 m wide. The bridge was opened on October 31st 1962.

This was built in the 1960's and it's 191 meters tall. It is located in Calgary.
